It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Alistair founder and owner of Timber Kit Design, who passed away unexpectedly just before Christmas. Alistair built this business with dedication, care, and a genuine commitment to serving his customers and community. What began as a small idea grew into something meaningful because of his hard work, integrity, and passion.

Due to this loss, Timber Kit Design will be ceasing operations effective immediately. We are grateful for the trust, support, and loyalty his customers have shown over the years, and we thank you for being part of this journey.

Timber Frame Drawing Package

We create timber frame drawings and cutting lists for easy timber frame kit manufacture and erection.

  • Dimensioned wallplate layout with cutting list - this layout is essential for the (under building) foundation and brickwork contractors.
  • Storey height secton showing floor to floor and floor to ceiling dimensions to ensure the correct number and size of soleplates/packers are used on site.
  • Dimensioned floor joist layout showing all blocking, dwangs/noggings, trimmers, bridles etc and cutting lists.
  • Detailed floor cassette manufacturing drawings (if required to enable a much faster erecting time on site) with decking layout, cutting lists for joists and decking.
  • Floor cassette layout for site erection
  • Soleplate, locating-plate layouts and cutting lists
  • Detailed panel manufacturing drawings showing all sizes/quantities of materials required for the ease of fabricating the wall panels
